In the name of the Organizing Committee of the 2009 IIHF World Championship Switzerland I am delighted to welcome you to our website. This is where you will find a continuous update of information worth knowing if you are covering Switzerland's biggest event of the year 2009.
Applications for Accreditations for print media as well as photographers can be downloaded here. Final deadline will be on January 16, 2009. Applications will be approved by the National Federations and the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF, so please make sure to send your application to your National Ice Hockey Federation and not to the Organizing Committee.
Please note: Television and radio representatives will have a dedicated online accreditation system. Those media representatives are requested to apply directly to Infront Sports & Media AG, Mrs. Mary Bianco at mary.bianco@infrontsports.com.
If you wish to book a hotel room for the upcoming World Championship, please visit our page „Media Accommodation”. You will then be directed to our official partner Switzerland Travel Center (STC) who is offering a variety of hotels. Please make your reservations as early as possible since room availability especially in and around Berne is very limited. Also note that our media hotel contingent with STC will expire on January 16. After this date we cannot guarantee for accommodations near the venues anymore.
