HAMEENLINNA, Finland – The United States won its second consecutive World Women’s Championship gold medal and its third in the nation’s history after defeating rival Canada, 4-1. Catilin Cahow scored twice in the golden win.

HAMEENLINNA, Finland – Sweden is in the bronze medal game at the Women’s World Championship after beating Russia, 8-0. Sweden will take on Finland in the third-place game on Sunday. Canada also edged the U.S., 2-1, in a preview of the gold medal game.
