CHICAGO--Now that the Americans are into the semi-finals on Saturday, they get a well-earned trip to downtown Chicago this afternoon to do a little sightseeing, shop, and catch a little breather. For Kendall Coyne, who hails from the Windy City, the day off is well deserved. She is tied for second in tournament scoring, and her nine goals (9+0=9) leads all players.
How old were you when you first put on skates?
I was three years old when I first started skating.
Who is your hockey hero?
Currently my favourite player is Sidney Crosby but growing up it was Chris Chelios, him being from Chicago and playing for the Hawks.
Why do you wear number 19?
It was given to me. My favourite number is 12 because Rene Bourque wore it when he was with the Hawks and I always liked him.
Do you have any superstitions?
I like to take a 30-45 minute nap and I always have an ice bath. I hate it, but I do it anyway.
Who is your best friend on the team?
My best friend on the team is Meagan Mangene. This is our third year playing together on the U18 squad and itís been a journey with her since day one.
How many brothers and sisters do you have?
I have two brothers and a sister. My older brother plays Division III hockey and lacrosse in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Whatís on your iPod?
I have a game-day playlist. I like to listen to Chelsea Dagger, the Hawks scoring song [by The Fratellis]. My middle period music has a little Miley Cyrus on it, and then Iím Shipping Up to Boston because my brother lives in Boston so it makes me think of him because I donít see him very often.

I havenít met anyone really famous, but if I could it would probably be Sidney Crosby.
Whatís the best thing about this tournament?
That it's in my hometown. I come to this rink every day. Just the support from my family and friends, and my coach, and this being my third and final one. I just canít believe it.
