HELSINKI – One year ago the road to gold for Finland at the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship went through Russia. The Finns defeated Russia 3-0 in their semi-final match up in Bratislava; on Saturday they meet again. Here's a look at both team's road to this year's semi-final.

HELSINKI – The hosts and teams for 42 tournaments next season were announced at the 2012 IIHF Annual Congress including all World Championship divisions and the Olympic Qualification events.
CALGARY – Hockey Canada announced that Steve Spott, head coach and GM of the OHL’s Kitchener Rangers, will be head coach at the 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship in Ufa, Russia.
