Weekend for Girls
International campaign to raise female hockey participationThousands of girls across the world are set to participate in World Girls’ Ice Hockey Weekend, 13/14 October 2012. With more than 300 events in 30 countries, participants will get exposure to the game and learn how to play in a relaxed and fun setting.
Almost all events will happen this weekend on Saturday, 13 October and Sunday, 14 October with exceptional events being held before or after the World Girls’ Ice Hockey Weekend, and some that will be repeated later on during the main hockey season.
The events are a great opportunity for girls to take their first steps in ice hockey.
