The final day of the preliminary round begun with a game between Macau yet without a win in the tournament and Thailand still undefeated in Group B. Thailand came out strong getting two quick goals 30 seconds apart after four minutes of play, followed by a third one within the first 10 minutes to get a firm grasp on the fourth consecutive win in the tournament. Having already secured the first position in its group, Thailand was able to play a relaxed game not allowing too many opportunities for Macau and getting two goals in the second and one more in the third to finish the game 6-0 and not using all the energy before the semi-final game.
