Murray Costello Close Biography
Born on February 24, 1934 in South Porcupine, Ontario, Canada. Former professional ice hockey player between 1953 and 1958 with Chicago Blackhawks, Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings in the NHL. After his professional playing career he returned back to school and became lawyer. President of Canadian Hockey Association till 1998. Member of the Board of Directors of the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto for 17 years. Inducted to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2006. IIHF Auditor for eight years, member of the IIHF Disciplinary Committee for eight years and Statutes Committee for four years. IIHF Council Member since 1998. Chairman of the IIHF Medical and Junior Committees.
