2011 Asian Winter Games

In Astana & Almaty, Kazakhstan

The 7th Asian Winter Games take place in Astana and Almaty, Kazakhstan, with men's and women's ice hockey tournaments from January 28 to February 6. Hockey games will be held in the Kazakhstan Ice Sport Palace in Astana (men) and in the Baluan Sholak Sport and Culture Palace in Almaty (women).

The tournaments and participants:

Men's Top Division, 31 January - 6 February: Kazakhstan, Japan, Korea, China, Chinese Taipei.

Men's Premier Division, 28 January - 5 February: United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Malaysia, Mongolia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Kyrgyzstan.

Women's Tournament, 28 January - 3 February: China, Kazakhstan, Japan, DPR Korea, Korea.

Note: The Asian Winter Games are organized by the Olympic Council of Asia and the teams are selected by the National Olympic Committees.
