Thailand - India 29-0

The first game of the tournament didn’t provide a warm welcome for India in their first international game in two seasons. Thailand, who finished second at the Premier Division of the recent Asian Winter Games in Kazakhstan, took a lead after 26 seconds of play and went goal crazy getting the puck past the goal line 29 times with India remaining scoreless in their comeback game. Despite being an underdog in the game, India maintained its fighting spirit and was able to generate some few good scoring opportunities as well keeping the hopes high for getting onto the score sheet soon in the games to follow.
