Welcome to the official webpage of the 2012 IIHF World Championship.
In 2012 the IIHF World Championship will be hosted by two countries, Finland and Sweden.
For the Preliminary Round, the venue for Group A is Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland. Group B will be played in Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. Both groups consist of eight teams with the new format and no qualifying round will be played. Both venues host two of the Quarter-Finals. The Semi-Finals and medal games will be played in Helsinki.
Ticket sales for the Championship will begin in April 2011.
