Blues struggling with injuries

ESPOO, Finland – Fortunately for the Espoo Blues, they have already clinched their semi-final spot in the Champions Hockey League as the team is struggling with a tsunami of injuries to key players.

According to media reports in Finland, the Blues are currently missing eight players, and many of them will also miss the first CHL semi-final on December 10.

Defenceman Dale Clarke is out 1-3 weeks due to a "lower body injury", also bothering forwards Ryan Keller, listed day-to-day, Jari Tolsa (knee, three weeks), and Ben Eaves (a week), as well as defencemen Tero Konttinen (a week) and Santeri Heiskanen, who is out three months due to a broken leg.

"Upper body injuries" keep forward Stefan Öhman (4-6 weeks), Petri Lammassaari and defenceman Miika Huczkowski (4-8 weeks) sidelined.
