HELSINKI – Finland head coach Pekka Hämäläinen named 23 players for the training camp for the 2009 IIHF World Women’s U18 Championship.

The team will hold a training camp in Vierumäki, December 17-21, where they’ll play against American college team, Adrian College, and against a men’s junior team with players born in 1995.

The roster will be cut to 18 skaters and two goalkeepers. The 2009 IIHF World Women’s U18 Championship takes place in Füssen, Germany, January 5-10.

Finland finished in sixth place at the inaugural World Women’s U18 Championship last winter in Calgary.
