VALLENTUNA, Sweden – Swiss champion HC Lugano remained undefeated team at the 2008 IIHF European Women’s Champions Cup after beating OSC Berlin, 4-3. Defending champion AIK Solna is also unbeaten.

It was a tight game throughout, which was decided by three goals of Lugano’s Canadian forward Carly Haggard and one of her compatriot Fiona McLeod. For the Swiss it was the second win of the season against the German champion after a 5-3 victory at an EWCC preliminary tournament in Berlin.

After a 4-2 loss against title-holder AIK Solna, Finnish champions Espoo Blues got their first win with a 3-0 shutout against Aisulu Almaty.
