ZURICH – The semi-finals of the 2011 IIHF World U18 Championship in Crimmitschau and Dresden, Germany, have been moved by one day.

Originally scheduled for April 22, the two semi-final games will be played one day later on April 23 at 14:30 and 18:30 local time respectively. The fifth-place game on April 23 will be played at 10:30. All games of the final round will be staged in Crimmitschau.

The games had to be moved because state law in Saxony doesn’t allow sport events to be staged on Good Friday. All participants agreed with the proposed change and approved the new schedule that complies with the IIHF’s Sport Regulations.

The relegation round games in Dresden are not affected as no games were scheduled on April 22.
