CALGARY/EDMONTON – The ten teams at the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championship registered players on the night before the beginning of the tournament.

Teams had to register a minimum of 17 players (15 skaters, 2 goalkeepers) for the first tournament directorate meeting on 25th December. Additional players can be added until two hours before each game until reaching the roster limit of 23 players (20 skaters, 3 goalkeepers).

Player Registration Overview as of 26th December:

Canada: 20 skaters, 2 goalkeepers. – 1 goalkeeper can be added.
Czech Republic: 19 skaters, 3 goalkeepers. – 1 skater can be added.
Denmark: 20 players, 3 goalkeepers. – Full roster.
Finland: 20 players, 3 goalkeepers. – Full roster.
Latvia: 20 players, 3 goalkeepers. – Full roster.
Russia: 20 players, 3 goalkeepers. – Full roster.
Slovakia: 17 players, 3 goalkeepers. – 3 skaters can be added.
Sweden: 19 players, 3 goalkeepers. – 1 skater can be added.
Switzerland: 20 players, 3 goalkeepers. – Full roster.
USA: 20 skaters, 2 goalkeepers. – 1 goalkeeper can be added.
