Sales kick off for Division I in Goyang


The 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group A will be the biggest ice hockey event ever in Korea.

SEOUL – Tickets for the 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group A in Goyang, Korea, are now on sale.

Day tickets including three games are available for 20,000 won (approx. €14 excl. service fee), single-game tickets involving the Korean national team cost 10,000 to 15,000 won and single-game tickets for other games 7,000 won.

The ticket shop is available in English, Korean, Japanese and Chinese.

In order to purchase a ticket, you need to create an account and login with an e-mail address and password.

“This event will be a great opportunity for all of Korean people to see one of the highest levels of hockey in our homeland,” a KIHA spokesperson said. “It will also be a great chance not only to increase the popularity of hockey in Korea but also to have a world-class ice hockey event before the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games.”

The organizers expect an overall attendance of 20,000 to 25,000 fans throughout the six-team event from 20 to 26 April 2014 that includes Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Japan, Korea and Ukraine.
