TORONTO – Public sales for event packages for games of the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship in Toronto and Montreal, Canada, will start on 30 December 2013 at 11:30am local time.
Tickets can be ordered online as well as at the box offices at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto and the Bell Centre in Montreal. To order online, a credit card and an account on Ticketmaster (Toronto) and evenko (Montreal) respectively will be needed, which can be set up in advance.
The Air Canada Centre in Toronto will be the main venue of the 2015 World Juniors. The home of the Toronto Maple Leafs will host one preliminary-round group, two quarter-final games, both semi-finals and medal games as well as the relegation round for a total of 19 games. The Toronto event packages between $626 and $1,746 depending on the category will also include one Team Canada pre-tournament game.
The Centre Bell, the arena of the Montreal Canadiens, will host 13 games including the preliminary round involving Team Canada and two quarter-final games. The Montreal event packages are available cost between $431 and $1,191 and also include one Team Canada pre-tournament game.
The ten teams participating at the event as well as the groups will be known following the upcoming 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship in Malmö, Sweden, from where the top nine teams will qualify, and the ongoing 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division I Group A in Sanok, Poland, from which the top-ranked team will earn promotion.
The 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship in Toronto and Montreal will take place from 26 December 2014 to 5 January 2015. The 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship will be hosted by Finland before the event comes back to Montreal and Toronto with reversed hosting roles in 2017.
