HELSINKI – The on-ice officials for the medal games of the 2012 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship have been assigned following the semi-finals.
Swiss-Canadian referee Brent Reiber and Antonin Jerabek from the Czech Republic will officiate the gold medal game between Russia and Slovakia.
Reiber already reffed last year’s gold medal game in Bratislava and is currently officiating in his seventh World Championship in the men’s senior category. For Jerabek it’s the first gold medal game. He’s in his second World Championship after his premiere last year.
