INNSBRUCK, Austria – USA Hockey added another player with defenceman Jack Johnson following the team’s 3-2 win against Austria in the last exhibition game. The roster for the 2011 IIHF World Championship now includes 23 players.

Johnson currently plays for the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings and will be making his ninth Team USA appearance.

He represented the United States last year in the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, winning the silver, and he captained the U.S. team in the 2010 IIHF World Championship. He also played in the 2007 and 2009 IIHF World Championships.

The defenceman scored five goals and had 37 assists in 82 regular-season games for the Kings this year. He also appeared in six post-season matches (one goal, four assists).
