The International Ice Hockey CentreIn 2003 The Finnish Ice Hockey Association (FIHA) established The International Ice Hockey Centre of Excellence in Vierumäki. In cooperation with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) the objectives of the Centre are to continually develop the game of ice hockey through research and education. The Centre will also create new educational materials, host international conferences, camps and tournaments and promote ice-hockey awareness to the wider public. As an entegral part of their studies, students on the Degree Programme will be required to work at the Centre where they will work on real projects. This will enable them to "learn by doing" in a practical working environment.
