The international hockey family grieves for the Burke family as it became known that Brendan Burke, the son of Team USA and Toronto Maple Leafs General Manager Brian Burke, died in a car accident on Friday night in Indiana at age 21.

“Our heart goes out to Brian and his family in this very difficult time,” said Dave Ogrean, executive director of USA Hockey. “We know the prayers of the entire hockey family, including our Olympic Team, are with the Burke family.”
