TOKYO – Date or venue changes for nine World Championship and Olympic Qualification tournaments were approved on Tuesday at the Congress in Tokyo.

Meetings were held today to discuss practical issues like game and practice schedules, referee assignments and logistics. Schedules for most of the events will be published on IIHF.com in the upcoming weeks.

New dates were approved for the following tournaments:

• 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group B in Donetsk, Ukraine: 14-20 April 2013
• 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division II Group A in Zagreb, Croatia: 14-20 April 2013
• 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division II Group A in Tallinn, Estonia: 1-7 April 2013
• 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division III Group B in Izmit, Turkey, 7-10 February 2013
• 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship Division I Group B in Strasbourg, France, 7-13 April 2013
• 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship Division II Group B Qualification in Izmir, Turkey, 7-9 December 2012
• Men’s Olympic Pre-Qualification Group J in Nikko, Japan: 9-11 November 2012

New venues were approved for the following tournaments:

• 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division III Group B will be played in Izmit, Turkey, 6-9 February 2013
• Women’s Final Olympic Qualification Group C will be played in Poprad, Slovakia, 7-10 February 2013
• Women’s Olympic Pre-Qualification Group F will be played in Valmiera, Latvia, 8-11 November 2012
