ZURICH – The United States has won gold at the World Women's Championship after an overtime goal by Hilary Knight at 7:48 of the 4-on-4 extra period.

ZURICH – Karoliina Rantamäki scored at 2:49 overtime to give Finland the bronze medal at the World Women's Championship. A game that started off slowly came to life with another third-period comeback by Russia.

USA new #1 in Women's World Ranking

ZURICH – Slovak goalie Zuzana Tomcikova was named tournament MVP following the gold medal game. She almost single-handedly kept her team in the top division with her sensational play throughout the tournament.
