ZURICH – The final tournament of the European Women’s Champions Cup will be held in Oulu, Finland, 22-24 February 2013.

Finnish champion Kärpät Oulu was one of the national champions that qualified for the four-team final to determine Europe’s best club team along with MODO Örnsköldsvik (Sweden), Tornado Moscow Region (Russia) and the ZSC Lions Zurich (Switzerland).

Kärpät successfully hosted a group in the preliminary round in the Oulun Jäähalli.

Last year Tornado Moscow Region won the event when it was also hosted in Finland, by Hämeenlinna.

Oulu is in northern Finland, slightly below the polar circle and about 540 kilometres north of the capital of Helsinki.
