Piotr Halasik elected at association’s assembly

WARSAW – Piotr Halasik follows as President of the Polish Ice Hockey Association after his predecessor Zdzislaw Ingielewicz didn’t stand for re-election.

For the presidency, Halasik defeated the former international referee from Krakow, Jacek Chadzinski, by 45 votes to 12 at the assembly that was held at the headquarters of the Polish Olympic Committee.

Halsik comes from the energy sector where he has spent his entire professional career. In his city of Sosnowiec he was a former senator candidate and former owner of the volleyball club Kazimierz Plomien Sosnowiec.

The other elected board members are: Piotr Demianczuk (Vice President), Mariusz Wolosz (Vice President), Dawid Chwalka (Treasurer), Kazimierz Szynal, Adam Zieba, Andrzej Skowronski and Marta Zawadzka.
