World Junior Ice Hockey Tournament
I would like to congratulate the Finnish Ice Hockey team on their winning the gold medal. I think that the Swedes played very well in defeat. It is too bad that there is a certain sense of dejection in winning the silver medal. This is an accomplishment. I would like to have someone explain what happened at the end of the Sweden-Russia game. Who started the fights. I suspect the Russians because they lost in the end. I could be wrong.
As an American I feel a sense of loss that the USA lost to the Russians. I also feel a sense of loss that Canada lost as well. I have lived in Canada for an extended period and have many fond memories of that country. I have also played ice hockey with both Canadians and Americans.
I enjoy these games. I once told some people from Taiwan that if I had a choice between the Little League Baseball World Series and the World Junior Ice Hockey Tournament I would choose the World Junior Ice Hockey Tournament. I have loved Junior Hockey since I saw my first game at the Montreal Forum in 1975. Three cheers to the NHL Network for showing the games. I want to see more junior hockey coverage here in the USA. Thank you NHL Network.
