The last day of February is the first day of a new opportunity for hockey fans interested in coming to the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. As of 28 February, single-game tickets are now on sale. This signals the final stage of the ticket sale and also brings with it a new offer – VIP tickets – available now for the first time.

“As of today, all tickets previously unsold through packages are now available,” said Slovak Ice Hockey Federation president Martin Kohut. “Tickets from as low as €10 are on sale for all games in both Bratislava and Kosice.“

Tickets are available in two categories. Preliminary-round tickets in the two venues can be purchased for €20-75 (1st category) or €10-60 (2nd category). Quarter-finals prices range from €100 (1st category) to €70 (2nd category). Semi-finals and medal games, all in Bratislava, are priced between €200 (1st category) and €160 (2nd category).

Tickets for the bronze medal game cost €180 (1st category) and €145 (2nd category) respectively and for the gold medal game €350 (1st category) and €300 (2nd category). “VIP tickets will have more comfortable seats, and refreshments and drinks are included in the price,” explained Michaela Grendelova, Head of Media & Communication for the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Organizing Committee. “As well, there will be a dedicated entrance for VIP ticket holders.”

The process to purchase remains the same. Fans can buy tickets only from the official seller, Ticketportal, at the official championship website 2019.iihfworlds.com or at the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation website www.hockeyslovakia.sk.

As always, tickets are limited to four per person per game, and for security purposes account authentication by SMS text message is still required.
