Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport

The international airport is the main arrival point of the capital. It is one of the largest airports in Kazakhstan and ranks second in the country in domestic air traffic. In the near future Nur-Sultan is to become a transit hub of Central Asia. A step forward in this direction has been made by the construction of a new terminal, where particular attention is paid to the comfort and convenience of transit passengers. The airport has five floors and its total area is 47,000 square metres. With the new terminal opened, the capacity of the airport is to increase from 3 to 8.2 million passengers per year.

From Europe it is a three-hour flight from Moscow and about five hours from Frankfurt or Istanbul to Nur-Sultan. To the east it's a flight of less than eight hours to Seoul.
