Regular day tickets for the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Tampere and Helsinki, Finland, will go on sale in the fall of 2021, when the official game schedule will be completed. Tickets come with a wide price range, with several game and seating categories in use.

”By pricing the tickets, we want to ensure that the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship games are accessible to as many hockey fans as possible,” says Heikki Hietanen, the General Secretary of the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.

The sale of tickets will be the most significant source of income for the Finnish organizing committee. Since year the 2000, more than €17 million has been allocated to various development projects in Finland.

The amount has made it possible to hiring 160 professionals to hockey clubs to develop club activities and support the coaching of children and youth. For example, through the skills coach project launched after the 2012 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, the Finnish Ice Hockey Association has supported the salaries of 29 children and youth skills coaches working in hockey clubs with €5 million.

The sale of VIP packages for the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship has already started. Currently VIP packages are on sale only for games of the Finnish national team, which will play its games in Tampere. The other teams, groups and schedule will become known in summer.
