The Americans, who topped Group A with four straight wins, occupy first place in our second Power Rankings of the 2022 Women’s Worlds.

After rallying to beat defending champion Canada 4-2, the Americans remain perfect with a 30-3 goal difference and head into the quarter-finals on top of our second Power Rankings of the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship. The Canadians slip to second place, while the Finns hang tight in third place after blanking an understaffed Swiss roster 4-0. The exhilaration of the elimination games awaits! Will there be some surprises in our third Power Rankings? Stay tuned.
