4th World Hockey Forum

The World Hockey Forum in Russia will take place for the fourth time next month.

The 4th World Hockey Forum will take place in Moscow, Russia between 13 and 19 December 2019.

The forum brings not only members of the ice hockey family together, but also representatives of sporting and social organizations as well as business circles scientists from the leading sporting universitites.

The business program is dedicated to topical issues and ice hockey problems. One of key topics of the forum is women's ice hockey: participants will discuss the possibilities and prospects for its support and development. They will also discuss tendencies in the changing of ice hockey rules and their effect on the game, new technologies in sports marketing and ice hockey broadcasts and competition with the entertainment industry. The participants will also pay special attention to adaptive ice hockey and the development of children's ice hockey.

As a part of the practical stage of the forum, the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) will organize a special coaching seminar and famous ice hockey players will hold a master-class for young players. In addition, companies in the field of sports industry will hold an exhibition.

First RIHF vice-president Roman Rotenberg, Russian ice hockey legends Vladimir Yurzinov, Igor Larionov and Alexei Morozov, representatives of foreign ice hockey federations and leagues including Kevin McLaughlin (USA), Anders Larsson (Sweden) and Denis Vaucher (Switzerland), and many more people will participate in the 2019 World Hockey Forum.

Every year, the World Hockey Forum is opened by chairman of the RIHF board Arkady Rotenberg, IIHF President Rene Fasel and RIHF President Vladislav Tretiak.

Over the course of three years, the World Hockey Forum has proved its status as one of the main events of professional ice hockey. More than 870 delegates and experts from different countries participated in the forum last year, while more than 150 media representatives attended.
