This weekend the first two tournaments of the IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship program begin. On Sunday it’s the turn to the Division I Group A in Fussen, Germany, where the second-tier nations battle for promotion to the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship in the Czech Republic.

The tournament opens at 13:00 local time with the game between France and Latvia, which missed out on promotion last year as second-ranked team. The second game features a neighbouring clash between host Germany and Austria at 16:30 before the evening game between Norway and Belarus at 20:00. Norway was promoted to this group while Belarus is the country relegated from last year’s top-level World Juniors.

The winner of this six-team round robin tournament will be promoted to the top division that will be hosted in Ostrava and Trinec in the Czech Republic next year. All 15 games between 9 and 15 December are streamed live. Just click on the game during game time to access the game centre with the live stream and live data and statistics.
