The IIHF would like to provide an update on the COVID-19 testing results for all 16 teams.

From the teams’ entry into the 2021 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Bubble, close to 7,000 COVID-19 PCR tests have been administered to all players, team staff and officials.

There have been no positive cases reported from these tests. For the teams that have exited the bubble, each player and team staff member was given one PCR test prior to their departure and a confirmation letter of the Team’s compliance with all IIHF 2021 WM COVID Protocols. All remaining teams that exit the tournament bubble will receive one final pre-departure test before they reenter their home country together with the previously indicated COVID Protocol letter.
