The Swedish men’s national team will have to continue the 2021 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship without its forward Carl Klingberg.

As the Swedish Ice Hockey Association announced today, Klingberg suffered a lower-body injury and won’t be able to play at the tournament.

Sweden currently has registered 27 players including Klingberg on its tournament roster. Before playing Switzerland today, Tre Kronor added defencemen Jesper Froden, Albert Johansson, Jesper Sellgren and forward Filip Hallander.
