Due to a mandated team quarantine following a positive test result of one of its players, Team Czechia will be unable to participate in its 29 December preliminary round game against Finland at the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship.

The result of the game will be recorded as a 1-0 win for Finland by forfeiture in accordance with the IIHF Rule Book.

The team’s quarantine status will be further evaluated to determine whether it will be able to compete in its final preliminary round game, scheduled for 30 December against Austria.

As part of enhanced COVID-19 protocols introduced by the IIHF Medical Committee, all on-ice game officials will be required to wear masks during games until further notice.
