After capturing the 2021 World Junior gold medal, the Americans open the 2022 World Juniors in Edmonton atop our first Power Rankings.

It’s time for some hot action on the ice and hot weather outside the rink. It’s also time to find out who’s hot and who’s not in our first Power Rankings of the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship in Edmonton. Pre-tournament, the Americans sit in top spot as the defending champs. Host Canada is hot on their heels in second place, while the Finns, bronze medalists from 2021, are third. Let’s crank it up!
