Nokia Arena was completed at the end of 2021. Although the arena has only been in use for just over a year, it has already served as a venue for many events. Many concerts, hockey games and, of course, the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship have filled the arena. The 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will therefore be the second in a row.

At the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, more than 250,000 people visited the Nokia Arena.
The capacity of the arena for a single ice hockey game is 13,300.

The arena is located right in the heart of Tampere, close to the railway station. It is built above the railroad. In connection with the arena there is also a hotel and a casino.
