Latvian team captain Gustavs Ozolins won’t be able to play the remainder of the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship due to a lower-body injury.
On the Latvian roster he was replaced today by defender Elvis Laskovs of the Nordic Hockey Academy in Austria.
Latvia won the first game of the best-of-three relegation round against Austria and will play the second game today in Halifax at 11:00 local time (17:00 EET, 16:00 CET).
