Welcome to the 2023 IIHF Women’s World Championship. Not only are the world’s top 10 teams vying for on-ice victory in Brampton, but bragging rights in the Power Rankings are also up for grabs. Host Canada – still glowing from its 2022 Olympic triumph in Beijing – aims to continue its recent Women’s Worlds dominance with a three-peat, and starts off in first place. The U.S., hungry for its first IIHF senior women’s title since winning gold in Espoo in 2019, sits second. And the Czechs, who made history with their first bronze medal at the 2022 tournament in Denmark in August, are in third place. Let the fun begin!
