Note: These groups are applicable as long as the Russian and Belarusian national teams are not reintegrated into the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Program.

The event from 26 December 2023 to 5 January 2024 will be held in Gothenburg. The main arena Scandinavium with a capacity for 12,044 spectators is located in the city centre while Frolundaborg with a capacity for 6,044 fans is only six kilometres away.
The ticket sale for the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship will start on 14 February 2023 at Ticketmaster with prices ranging from SEK 120 to 750 (approx. €10-70).
With a population of 590,000 in the city and about a million in the region, Gothenburg in the southwest of Sweden is the country’s second-largest city. It hosted the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in the men’s senior category in 1981 and 2002, both times at Scandinavium, which was built in 1971 and renovated most recently in 2006. It will be the first time the World Juniors will be hosted in the city.
