The 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women's World Championship will get under way at 12 noon CET on Saturday, 6 January 2024, with Finland facing the Czech Republic in the opening game. The Swiss team is also in action that day, and will lock horns with Sweden at 4 p.m. Starting at 8 p.m., the day’s evening game pits the Canadians against the Germans. The eight participating teams are divided into two groups.
Group A consists of Canada, Finland, the Czechia and Germany, with Sweden, the USA, Slovakia and Switzerland making up Group B. The last games of the preliminary round will take place on Wednesday, 10 January. The four quarter-finals will be played on Thursday, 11 January, followed by the semi-finals and relegation games on Saturday, 13 January. Both games to determine the three medal positions will be held on Sunday, 14 January at 3 p.m. (Bronze Medal Game) and 7 p.m. (Gold Medal Game). All matches will be played in the Arena Zug in Zug.
