The Americans are qualified for the quarter-finals

Based on current results and standings, the first three teams have secured their game times for the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship quarter-finals in Minnesota. Four quarter-final games are scheduled to be played on January 2, 2026, with the following matchups:
QF1 – 13:00, Grand Casino Arena: Sweden vs. TBD
QF2 – 15:30, 3M Arena at Mariucci: TBD vs. TBD
QF3 – 17:00, Grand Casino Arena: USA vs. TBD
QF4 – 19:30, 3M Arena at Mariucci: Canada vs. TBD
Canada, Sweden, and the USA now know their game times for the 2026 World Juniors quarter-finals, with two days of preliminary-round play still remaining. The final matchups will be determined during the remaining six games of the tournament.
