The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has confirmed that the upcoming 2026 Women’s World Championship Division II Group A (WMIIA) will proceed with five participating teams: Australia, Chinese Taipei, Iceland, Poland and Slovenia. DPR Korea having confirmed its withdrawal due to evolving circumstances beyond their control.
As a result, the competition format has been adjusted. The championship will now be played with a revised schedule and will be shortened by one day.
