Needing to win to avoid relegation, Japan fell behind early in today's game against the Czechs but rallied for a sensational victory, 2-1.

The win forces a third game in the best-of-three relegation. It will be played tomorrow afternoon at 13.00, and the stakes are high and simple. The winner stays up, and the loser is demoted.

The Czechs got just the start they wanted, scoring just 4:54 into the game thanks to a goal from Hana Haasova. They took the only two penalties of the period but killed them off to perfection, but the Japanese took some momentum into the second and tied the game at 2:57.

Yui Sonoya got the goal, and then at 5:12 of the third Makato Ito put the hosts ahead, 2-1.
