During the 2021 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship the players were not only learning on the ice but also off it.

The IIHF regularly organizes educational sessions and workshops for players. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the material was given to the players in an online educational platform rather than in person that they could go through during the quarantine time at their hotels before the tournament – as most did – but also later.

Players did not only get tips about life in a sports bubble but also learned about the battle against doping, integrity and competition manipulation, abuse and harassment – and how to react as a player if confronted with such situations.

The platform started earlier this season for other IIHF tournaments and a large number of players participated in the program and the quizzes on each topic.

The player with most points from each team will receive a gift voucher. The player with the overall highest score was Emma Ingold of the Swiss team who had an astonishing 100% score. Congrats!
