Hungary won the brotherly cross-border clash with Romania 4-2 on the last day at the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group A.

Lithuania beat Romania 5-4 for its second win to claim the bronze medals at the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group A. The result also secures second place for Hungary and promotion to the top-level Worlds for 2023 alongside tournament winner Slovenia.

After both teams had started with a loss, Korea beat Romania 4-1 for its first win at the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group A and to keep hopes for promotion to the top division alive.

Host Slovenia beat Romania 9-1 in the teams’ first encounter at the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group A in 15 years and takes the lead in the standings.
