Ukraine finished its Division IB campaign with a comfortable victory over Estonia. A dominant 8-0 verdict earned bronze for Vadym Shakhraichuk’s team.

Makuru Furuhashi led a clinical Japanese offence to a high-scoring win over Ukraine. The 8-2 victory sets up a winner-takes-all showdown on Sunday when Japan faces its Polish host to decide the gold medal.

It took a shoot-out to separate Ukraine and Poland in a terrific clash in Division IB in Tychy. After a breathless 65 minutes the teams were deadlocked at 2-2 before Jakub Bukowski's attempt won it for the host nation.

Highly-motivated and backed by vocal support in Tychy, Ukraine opened up its Division IB campaign with a convincing 7-0 victory.
