The countdown to the 2020 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship is on. The tournament is due to get under way in Zurich and Lausanne exactly 100 days from now, and tickets are still available! Single game tickets go on sale on Tuesday, 4 February.

Fans only have to wait 100 more days until the first World Championship pucks are dropped on 8 May 2020 in Zurich's Hallenstadion and the Lausanne Arena, where the world’s top ice hockey players will battle it out for the coveted World Championship trophy. The wait is nearly over!

Gian Gilli, Director of the 2020 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship says: “After a good two years of preparation, now we are on the home stretch. The anticipation is growing by the day and even by the hour. Anyone who doesn't have a ticket yet can buy the popular single game tickets starting next week. We hope to see ice hockey fans from Switzerland and abroad out in force and we are looking forward to a great ice hockey event!”

Single game tickets on sale from 4 February 2020

The wait for single game tickets will also be over on Tuesday, 4 February. These can be purchased from 9:00am (Central European Time) onwards at 2020.iihfworlds.com. Packages will no longer be available from this time and only single game tickets will be on sale for all games. The cheapest ticket in Lausanne (standing) is priced at just CHF 19. Tickets for games involving the Swiss national team in the preliminary round cost between CHF 69 and CHF 179.
