T-push with stops
Objective:
Learn how to make the t-push and stop. This technique is used in longer passes. The goal is that you could get to the puck and middle of the net lane fast and stop before the save.
Points of Emphasis:
Learn how to make the t-push and stop. This technique is used in longer passes. The goal is that you could get to the puck and middle of the net lane fast and stop before the save.
Points of Emphasis:
- Start and stay in the basic stance throughout the movement
- Legs are moving and rest of the body stays loose
- Stick on ice, glove & blocker at the same level
- Turn your sliding leg tip to the direction that you want to go
- Push with the other blades inside edge
- Transfer your weight to the sliding leg
- Bring the pushing leg quickly next to the sliding leg
- When you want to stop just turn your sliding leg tip back to the starting point
