Recruitment and Retention

Ludovic Lord, Senior Manager of Growth and Retention at Hockey Canada will be presenting an in-depth look at the IIHF / Hockey Canada Try Hockey Pilots — a series of pilots designed to make hockey more accessible, inclusive, and welcoming for all Canadians. This presentation will highlight how these pilots were developed and delivered across the country, the impact they’ve had in communities — including among Indigenous youth, newcomers, girls, and neurodiverse participants — and the key lessons learned for future growth, both in Canada, South American MNAs and globally.
 
In addition, we are pleased to share highlights from the IIHF World Girls Ice Hockey Weekend, held during 25-26 October 2025. The IIHF recruitment initiative that gives a global opportunity for girls to try out hockey as a new sport. As well as a few other initiatives related to IIHF ICE26 strategy: Global Girls Game, Growing The Game Fund 2026.
